Communication Skill
“If you want to execute some new ideas to solve other problems but the new idea will not be executed in the right manner until you communicate your ideas to others.” So, Communication Skills are much important to add valuable contributions to your both, personal and professional life.
Communication:-
Convey the information or message from a sender to a particular receiver is called Communication. In simple words, we can say that communication is the process of conveying information from one person to another.
The world is full of people, to coordinate various activities and processes people have to interact with each other, which is impossible without communication.
Objectives Of Communication
For Exchanging Information:-
The exchange of information is the basic purpose of communication. For example – In an organization, the management has to give the knowledge to its employees about their roles and responsibilities. Without Communication, no employee can get the policies of the organization and no client can get the services even.
Suggestions and Counseling:-
In an organization, it is the responsibility of the superiors and managers to help their subordinates in the task given to them. Either the suggestion and counseling may be on official or personal matters. It is significant to improve the productivity of subordinates and hence the organization.
Giving Instructions and Orders:-
Another Objective of Communication is to give orders and instructions to the employee that how a work should be done, in the organization. The instructions and Orders can be given in a written form or verbally according to the need.
To avoid any miscommunication it is important to remember that the orders and instructions should be properly communicated in a clear language.
Training Programs:-
To make the employees updated the management needs to give training sessions for them from time to time. In the present time, organizations organized Management Development Programmes frequently. The organizations incur large amounts of expenditure on training programs.
Communication is used to educate people about the goods and services of the organization. Until the customer is made aware of the goods and services, they will not use them.
For Motivation:-
Motivation plays an important role for the person to achieve the targets because it can change the attitude of a person. A good manager should have the skills to motivate his team so that he need not order them to work. A motivated person works harder and executes his tasks in a better way.
A manager should have good communication skills to motivate his subordinates, even simple praise for outstanding hard work sometimes can increase the productivity of employees.
To give Idea:-
In an organization Good ideas and suggestions on a topic may come from all men. It is important to maintain a suggestion box culture for improving Upward Communication.
To Influence:-
The success of any business depends on the art of selling its services or goods and to influence others is an art that everyone needs to excel at. The meaning of Influence is to persuade the values and attitude approach of others. Good communication skills are needed to develop good persuasion skills.
To Warn:-
To give warning is also an objective of communication. It may involve warning juniors due to their misbehavior, carelessness, lack of punctuality, or any other action on the part of the employee which could damage the reputation of the organization.
